Who I Am, So Far

I’m a wife, traveler, and author, and I'm passionate about helping you experience the deep, life-changing love of Jesus. True transformation begins with Him—and His transformation always comes with a "so that." God shapes His followers so that you and I can love others more fully.

My husband Roger and I have practiced (not perfected!) letting go, trusting God, and enjoying the journey throughout our life together. When I’m not writing or exploring new backroads, you’ll find me reading, sipping chai latte, connecting with friends and family, or riding my e-bike. I’m so glad you landed here as part of your journey and I'd love to connect with you. Just sign up on the Contact page.

Where I've come from...

I grew up in Northern California, attended college at California Baptist University in Riverside, CA, and enjoyed a career in office management. My husband and I raised three children and have three grandchildren. We've lived in the suburbs, near the ocean, in the mountains, and in an RV.

I was only seven years old when I first decided to let Jesus to rule my life. I remember thinking, "Now that I'm a Christian, I have to be good." It wasn't until years later that I realized being a Christian is much more about our relationship with Jesus than rules. I share more about my personal journey in my book, Turning Your Inner Bullies Into AlliesI'm so grateful for the chance to share the struggles as well as the joythis is truly the abundant life.

...and where I'm headed

I've heard it said that the only people who have it all together are the ones you don't know very well. True—to an extent. I wrote Turning Your Inner Bullies Into Allies because I believe the woman who is striving after God with all her heart is a woman who has it all together—in Christ. She's not perfect, but she's moving in the right direction. I want to be that woman, and I want to bring you along with me.
